Arachne: The First Spider (Blender Rig)

"Arachne" is a Greek mythological tale about a talented mortal weaver who challenges the goddess Athena, known for her skills in crafts, to a weaving contest. Arachne is incredibly skilled, and her tapestries depict scenes of the gods' misdeeds. Athena, angered by Arachne's hubris, accepts the challenge. In a stunning display, Athena weaves scenes of the gods' triumphs and virtues.

Despite Arachne's remarkable talent, her tapestry is filled with scenes of the gods' flaws and weaknesses, angering Athena further. In a fit of rage, Athena destroys Arachne's work, causing Arachne to despair. Unable to bear the shame, Arachne tries to hang herself. Athena, taking pity on her, transforms her into a spider, allowing her to continue weaving her intricate webs for eternity.

I created this Blender (4.0+) character rig for animators to play with. The Rig is free, but you can pay some amount for it to support me.
